A tax is a fine for doing well. A fine is a tax for doing wrong.
Mark Twain

Victoria, Australia is increasingly seen as placing an unfair tax burden on businesses, with rising levies and regulatory costs stifling growth and discouraging investment.
Instead of fostering a competitive and supportive environment, the state’s approach often resembles a self-defeating cycle of over-taxation.
As the Winston Churchill aptly put it, "I contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle."
This captures the essence of Victoria’s current predicament: attempting to fund prosperity by draining the very sector that drives it.
